Hi, my name is Zoe Ho (she/they). I am a trauma-informed registered clinical counsellor (RCC) and have over 10 years experience as a somatic therapist and yoga instructor (PRYT 600; E-RYT-500).

I am a Registered Clinical Counselor (RCC, CCC) and EMDR practitioner with over ten years of experience as a somatic yoga therapist and mindfulness teacher. I am a first-generation immigrant, storyteller and artist who has lived and worked in Asia, Vancouver, and Canada's Arctic.

My work with Indigenous communities helped bring their powerful voices to broadcast media. This experience taught me deep empathy and listening, propelling my journey into yoga and somatic therapy training, followed by a master's in Counselling Psychology.

As a survivor of cancer, divorce, and marginalization trauma, I learned to overcome these challenges with resilience, humour, curiosity, and self-compassion. I now infuse these ingredients into my evidence-based work with clients.

Outside of my practice, I help facilitate embodied mindfulness workshops for national cancer support organizations and corporate clients, such as Gallup Inc. and Google Asia.

I serve all populations, with a focus on BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and marginalized, intersectional identity populations.

Therapeutic Approach

My evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment approach supports clients in healing from past and ongoing trauma with self-compassion. I offer a welcoming space filled with warmth, respect, safety, and nonjudgment, where you can feel unconditionally supported in exploring your experiences, thoughts, and feelings.

Collaboratively, we will identify your needs and understand what blocks your authentic self-expression. We will find safe ways to attune to your body and regulate your nervous system for you to effectively navigate challenging emotions and sensations. You will gain better insights and resources, to connect with yourself and others.

With EMDR therapy, I offer clients an alternative to traditional talk therapy, using bilateral stimulation to safely process trauma without having to share details of traumatic events verbally.

Therapeutic Strengths

In our sessions, I draw from treatment modalities that are integrative, scientifically validated, and humanistic. They include Mindfulness-based Self-Compassion, Internal Family Systems, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Trauma Informed Stabilization Treatment, CBT, EFT, and Somatic Therapy. The alchemy of sustainable change lies in self-compassion. Feeling seen and heard and embracing the parts of you that struggle can empower you to transform your life story.

My online sessions are every Tuesday and Thursday between 7 am and 10 am and 10 pm and 12 am. You can book a free consultation or a full session to get started.
