Yes. Naturopathic doctors in British Columbia are regulated health professionals registered with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC. NDs complete an undergraduate degree followed by four years of accredited naturopathic medical training. Our acupuncturists are registered with the same college, and our clinical counsellor is registered with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada.
No. You can book any of our practitioners directly, online or by phone.
A no cost, no obligation conversation with a practitioner, virtual or in person. You describe what is going on, ask your questions, and find out whether we are the right fit and which practitioner you should see.
A thorough intake. It covers health history, current symptoms, medications and supplements, past labs, diet and lifestyle, and you leave with an initial assessment and a plan.
Most extended health plans in BC include some coverage for naturopathic medicine, acupuncture and counselling. Coverage amounts vary by plan, so check your policy. Visits are not covered by MSP.
The conditions we treat most commonly are hormonal concerns (PCOS, fertility, perimenopause and menopause), digestive problems (SIBO, IBS, bloating, food sensitivities), fatigue and iron deficiency, anxiety and stress, insomnia, pain and injuries, headaches and migraines, skin concerns and hair loss. If you are unsure whether we can help, book the free meet and greet and ask.
IV therapy delivers vitamins, minerals and other nutrients directly into the bloodstream, bypassing digestion. At Crossroads it is administered by naturopathic doctors with advanced IV certification, after an intake and, where appropriate, lab work. We also provide iron infusions for diagnosed iron deficiency.
SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) is assessed with a breath test, which we arrange and interpret. Treatment is a structured protocol addressing the overgrowth, the underlying cause and prevention of relapse.
Yes, across BC. Meet and greets and most naturopathic consultations can be done virtually. Acupuncture, IV therapy and Botox are done in clinic.
We treat women, men and children. Dr. Nayumi Saiki has a special interest in children’s health, and Dr. Justin Tang focuses on areas men commonly bring to us: energy, sleep, weight, digestion and hormones.
Yes. Several of our naturopathic doctors hold prescriptive authority in BC, including Dr. Susan Goto and Dr. Jen Korsa, and can prescribe within their regulatory scope. Where a prescription is outside our scope, we coordinate with your family doctor.
Yes. Care is available in Mandarin and Japanese as well as English. Dr. Nayumi Saiki provides appointments in Japanese.
Therapeutic Botox treats medical problems such as chronic migraines, jaw tension and muscle pain. Cosmetic Botox softens expression lines. Both are administered at Crossroads by a naturopathic doctor certified in Botox administration.
